Although you can make a reservation for jet ski rentals, they are normally not needed. We have a large selection of wave runners, which allows us to have at least one available the majority of the time. You can always call before you come to check the availability. We do recommend making reservations for large groups renting multiple jet skis, but, once again, they are not required.
If you were born before January 1, 1988, you will need a valid form of photo ID to drive a jet ski or boat rental.
If you were born after January 1, 1988, you will need to take the Florida Safe Boating Test to drive the boats and jet skis without a boating safety card.
If you want to drive a jet ski or boat rental and are under 18 years of age, you must:
- Be over the age of 16 (with photo identification)
- Possess a boating safety card
- Have a signed waiver by a guardian 18 years of age or older

If you don’t have a boating safety card, you will need to pass the temporary boating safety card test administered on-site for $3.00. We ask that you come in one (1) hour before your reservation time to take this test. This temporary “Boater’s License” is valid for 12 months. Don’t forget to bring your Photo ID!
Alternatively, you can get your temporary boating license by passing this online test. This temporay license is $9.99 and is valid for 90 days after completing the certification.
We offer temporary boating licenses for anyone born after January 1, 1988. The license can be obtained by passing an on-site exam for $3.00. You must come in one (1) hour before your reservation time to take this test. This temporary “Boater’s License” is valid for 12 months. Don’t forget to bring your Photo ID!

These participants can also get their permanent boating license by logging on to www.boatus.org and taking the open book test there. Upon passing the exam (80 percent) they will receive a permanent laminated copy of their license within a few weeks. If these participants are unable to receive their permanent boating license in time, they can print out a copy of their exam completion and use it as a temporary license.
